The Hope Babette Tang (1983) Histology Facility assists investigators in generating quality histological slides. We have the equipment and expertise to produce sections from frozen, paraffin-embedded, and resin-embedded tissues. The Hope Babetta Tang Histology facility produces routine hematoxylin and eosin stained slides, immunohistochemical, and special stains. With these tools, the investigator will be better able to evaluate the pathologic consequences of various mutations or treatments.
If you are a new user, please register in iLab and submit your request through iLab before bringing your specimens to the Tang Histology Facility.
Access is available to all members of the MIT community (to the extent permitted by available capacity). Priority access is given to KI members and NCI-funded research projects in recognition of funding support. Depending on available capacity, access may be available to non-MIT users (details available on request from the Core Leader, Kathy Cormier).
The Histology Core is supported, in part, by funding provided to the Koch Institute from a National Cancer Institute Cancer Center Support Grant.
